A really great Brasilian book in Portugese (sorry I couldn’t spell it all - Rob)
Last time you made the bed? Yesterday the camp bed at Gerroa - I always make the bed
Last time you lost your temper? Lost my temper with a boomgate operator at work who didn’t like me riding my bike into the carpark and would lower the boom gate on my head as I rode in !!!
Last time you were really scared? Sailing my Laser in 40knts on crowded Sydney Harbour - all the fleet was capsizing - a previous World Laser Champion came up to me in the rescue boat and asked how I was going - I said I had capsized 8 times and was happy to get rescued he said he’d come back and check on me when I had capsized 20 times !!
Last time you slept outdoors?
Last 2 nights in the pouring rain at Gerroa - but the tent was dry!
Last time you got ripped off?
I think all restuarants are a bit of a rip off (Rob’s note - Ari is a really great cook)
Last time you felt really stoked with the world?
I’m so happy just to sail with all the hot sailors in the NSW Wavesailing Assoc
Last time you said sorry? Probably to my wife Lola, the day I got back at 9pm
from windsurfing when I was due there at 7pm
Last time you did a massive jump?
This is really still to happen but I got some jumps at Coronation (WA) a few years ago
Last time you prayed? I pray every day to be tolerant
Last time you had a big night out? a romantic Valentines night out with my wife
Last time you were in trouble with the Law?
I had an agruement with a policeman over a parking spot at Bondi Beach
Last time you got injured? Last year broke my ankle surfing 8ft Maroubra
Last time you fell in love? I love my new Brasilian seamless underwear
Last time you said never again? Sailing onshore Old Bar and getting stuck on the rocks
Last time you laughed out loud? I made a loud yawn in a National Geographic film about insects - caused everyone in the cinema to start laughing and we were asked to leave!
Last windsurfing trip? The last 4 days at Gerroa with all you guys
Last job you would ever want? a lift operator would be the worst
Last piece of clothing you bought? I bought a $1 cap at a garage sale
Last sailor you want to meet in a heat? Pretty much anyone
Last country you visited? Brasil via Sth Africa (April 2002) one of my biannual visits - lots and lots of parties, good friends, surfing (no windsurfing) a real cultural injection
Last big wave you caught? probably surfing 8ft Maroubra
Last dream you had? I have a recurring surf dream - paddling along a river system and
ending up at an uncrowded beach surfing incredible waves
